Protection for these valuable landmarks can be achieved under the city's Historic Preservation Ordinance (Pomona City Code Sections .5809-13) by way of the historic landmark designation process diagramed below. To ensure that landmarks receive full protection, even those listed on the National Register of Historic Places must be officially designated at the local level.
